He turned the car and then they were headed down a narrow street. Parked cars lined both sides of the street, leaving only enough room for a single car to pass. Up ahead, people stood around, silhouetted in the wash of light from an oncoming car.
“Oh, crap,” Jack said, slowing and then stopping the car. They sat idling in the middle of the street.
“Shit, man, where the hell are you taking us?” Danny shouted. “Why are we even down here? What were you thinking?”
“Hey, I’m just following the fucking map, okay?” Jack said. Now he was yelling.
“Well, goddammit, turn around! You’re scaring the crap out of me!”
